中国加拿大研究会第14届年会暨国际学术研讨会将于2010年10月28日至30日在北京外国语大学召开，由北京外国语大学加拿大研究中心承办。2号通知在2009年底发出以后，学界同仁反应积极。本次通知再次邀请加研各领域专家学者参会，尤其欢迎加拿大外交政策和中加关系，以及经贸政策和中加贸易关系方面的论文。

Call for Papers: the ACSC 14th Biennial Conference in Beijing in 2010

The Association for Canadian Studies in China will hold the 14th Biennial Conference at Beijing Foreign Studies University from October 28 to 30, 2010. The conference will be organized by the Canadian Studies Centre at BFSU with the theme of “Inheritance and Development: Canada and China in the Context of Globalization in the 21st Century”. Canadianists at home and abroad are welcome to participate.

The conference is composed of eight sessions with the following topics:

1. Canadian foreign policy and Sino-Canada relationship

2. Canadian economic policy and Sino-Canada trade relationship

3. Canadian environmental policy and Sino-Canada co-operation in environmental protection

4. Canadian ethnic issue and multiculturalism

5. Canadian public policy and social policy

6. Education, art, journalism

7. Canadian history

8. Canadian literature and language

Interested scholars should email the abstracts of their papers and personal information to the Canadian Studies Centre at BFSU (canadabfsu@yahoo.com.cn) and copy them to the Secretariat of ASCS at shosho424@163.com by June 15, 2010.

　　=>2. 南京财经大学加拿大研究中心举办加拿大研究学术讲座和研讨会(Canadian Studies Centre Nanjing University of Finance and Economics Held Lectures and a Seminar on Canadian Studie

南京财经大学加拿大研究中心于2010年4月8日在外国语学院会议室召开了加拿大研究学术研讨会，外国语学院领导、学校国际合作与交流处领导、中心加拿大研究学者、教师代表和研究生代表等共40余人参加了研讨会。会议由中心主任冯建文教授主持，2009年中加交换访问学者、2010年加拿大研究专项奖学者、2009年主持PDG项目学者和2010年申报PDG项目学者的代表做了主题发言。

四位学者报告了他们的研究成果或研究思路。金融学院的王应贵博士主讲加拿大金融特色与加元汇率问题，外国语学

The seminar on Canadian studes at NUFE 院的陶娟讲师主讲加拿大警力系统与政策，国际贸易学院的李杏博士主讲加拿大国际投资与在华投资，国际贸易学院的杨智华讲师主讲加拿大农业品牌战略。2009年中加交换访问学者、外国语学院的韩静讲师报告了她对加拿大人文教育体系的研究，2010年加拿大研究专项奖学者、食品工程学院的汪峰博士报告了加拿大生态储粮的先进成果和中加在此领域的合作。他们的发言主题新颖，思路广阔而又别致，具有很强的实用性和高度的前瞻性，极大地开阔了学术视野，令人有耳目一新之感。王应贵博士分析了加元在国际金融方面的态势和优势，指出加元应对金融风险的能力与加拿大的金融战略和政策很有关系。李杏博士正在调研加拿大在华投资战略，尤其以长三角地区为重点，认为中加双方的相互投资具有很大的潜力和良好前景。汪峰博士曾在加拿大曼尼托巴大学研究加拿大生态储粮达两年之久，如今中国和加拿大在生态储粮方面的合作也进入了建设研究基地和储粮基地的实质性阶段，近年内将在中国包括南京在内的5个大城市建立生态储粮基地，而南京财经大学是中加生态储粮的合作与研究的发起单位。汪峰博士的研究不仅涉及中加生态储粮技术层面的交流与合作，更要探讨加拿大生态储粮甚至生态农业方面的战略与政策，以供我国借鉴。

外国语学院院长王克明教授对主题发言进行了点评，号召加拿大研究学者进一步开阔学术视野，加强跨学科和交叉学科的加拿大研究，在未来的研究中有所突破，有所创新。

冯丽娜、文晶、金立林分别就加拿大图书资料建设、校园学生加拿大研究活动等事宜做了发言。学校图书馆的加拿大研究阅览专区建设进展顺利，每年都从国内外购进新的加拿大研究图书资料。学生中的加拿大研究开展很有成绩和特色，除了每年传统性的活动，如加拿大英语讲演赛、加拿大研究校园图文展等外，我校每年都有比较重大的校园加拿大研究活动开展，产生了较大的影响，尽可能多地吸引了在校学生参与校园加拿大研究活动。

2008年配合在我校召开的中国加拿大研究会第13届年会举办了加拿大文化周，以外国语学院师生为主的校园合唱团演唱了加拿大代表性歌曲10余首，属于国内首创，受到中加学界的高度赞扬。2009年为纪念伟大的国际主义战士、中加友谊的桥梁白求恩医生在华殉职70周年，我校加拿大研究中心和外国语学院举办了纪念白求恩的加拿大文化周，外国语学院的学生上演了反映白求恩工作和生活的英文话剧，又一次感动了校园师生和国内外的学者。2010年还将在我校举办纪念中加建交40周年的加拿大文化周，届时将邀请加拿大驻华大使馆文化参赞、加拿大驻沪总领事馆文化领事、加拿大驻南京商务代办处官员、中加友谊文化大使大山、麦克马斯特大学副校长陈万华教授及众多加拿大学者前来参加。我校校园学生的加拿大研究活动日益丰富，产生了很好的影响，广受关注和好评。

中心主任冯建文教授做了总结发言，并对国内外加拿大研究的情况和相关事宜做了通报。冯教授强调我校加拿大研究中心是近年来全国最活跃、最有成就的中心之一，受到中加学界和中加有关机构的关注和重视，已成为我校一个多学科参与的高水平学术研究与交流的平台，也成为我校通向加拿大和国际学术界的一扇富有成效的窗口。2009年我们有5个研究项目受到加拿大国际事务部的立项资助，是国内之冠。2010年除了在研究项目立项资助方面再创佳绩外，还要办好庆祝中加建交40周年的加拿大文化周，做好参加在北京外国语大学召开的中国加拿大研究会第14届年会的准备工作，争取又一次成为参加全国性加拿大研究学术会议

On April 8, 2010, The Canadian Studies Center at Nanjing University of Finance and Economics (NUFE) held a seminar on Canadian Studies at the conference room at School of Foreign Languages, NUFE. Over 40 scholars, including leaders of School of Foreign Languages and the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, members of the Canadian Studies Center, some faculties and graduates, participated in this seminar. The seminar was held by Prof. Feng Jianwen, Director of Canadian Studies Center; the 2009 CCSEP winner, the 2010 SACS winner, 2009 PDG winners and 2010 PDG applicants delivered keynote speeches.

Four scholars reported their findings or researching ways. Dr. Wang Yinggui from School of Finance talked about finance characteristics in Canada and Canadian dollar exchange problems; Lecturer Tao Juan from School of Foreign Languages talked about the police system and police policies in Canada; Dr. Li Xin from School of International Business talked about Canadian investment in China; Lecturer Yang Zhihua talked about agriculture brand strategy of Canada; Lecturer Han Jing, 2009 CCSEP winner, from School of Foreign Languages, reported her research in humanities education in Canada; Dr. Wang Feng, 2010 SACS winner, from School of Food Science and Engineering, talked about the advanced achievements of ecological grain storage and the cooperation between China and Canada. Wiith innovative topics and broad and distinctive thoughts their lectures are practical and broaden scholars’ academic horizons. Dr. Wang Yinggui analyzed the positions and advantages the Canadian dollar has in international financial markets and pointed that the capacity of the Canadian dollar’s response to financial crisis is closely connected with Canadian finance strategy and policies. Dr. Li Xin has been recently doing researches in strategies of Canadian investment in China, focusing on the Yangzi River Delta area. She thought there are many potentials and a bright future in the mutual investment between China and Canada in this area. Dr. Wang Feng had done researches on ecological grain storage in Manitoba University for two years. Nowadays the cooperation in ecological grain storage between China and Canada has come to setting up researching bases and storage bases. Dr. Wang Feng’s research not only covers cooperation between China and Canada in technical aspects of ecological grain storage, but also studies strategies and policies in Canadian ecological grain storage and its references to China.

Prof. Wang Keming, Dean of School of Foreign Languages made comments on these keynote speeches, and then called on all scholars to broaden academic horizons, enhance interdisciplinary studies in Canadian studies, and make breakthrough in future researches.

Feng Lina, Wen Jin, and Jing Lilin respectively talked about the construction of Canadian library facilities and Canadian research activities held for students. The Canadian reading area in the university library develops smoothly and purchases latest materials on Canadian

Some participants of the seminar studies both from home and abroad every year. Canadian studies carried out among students’ activities are fruitful and distinctive. Apart from yearly traditional activities, such as English Speaking Contests on Canadian Studies, picture and text exhibitions on Canadian studies, other important Canadian studies activities are carried out in our university, which have brought great impact and absorbed students to take part in Canadian studies activities on campus.

In 2008, as part of the 13^th ACSC Biennial Conference held in NUFE, we held a Canada Week. Faculty members and students mainly from School of Foreign Languages sang over ten representative Canadian songs, which was the first time in China and was warmly praised by scholars from China and Canada. In 2009, in order to memorize Doctor Bethune, great internationalist and Friendship Bridge between China and Canada, and to commemorate the 70th anniversary of his sacrifice in China, the Canadian Studies Center and School of Foreign Languages held another Canada Week in memory of Doctor Bethune. Students from School of Foreign Languages performed an English drama about Bethune’s work and life, which moved faculties, students and scholars from home and abroad. In 2010, we will hold yet another Canada Week to celebrate the establishment of diplomatic relationship between China and Canada for 40 years. At that time, we will invite the Cultural Counselor from the Canadian Embassy in Beijing, the Cultural Consul from the Canadian Consulate General in Shanghai, officers from Canada CNNA’s Agency in Nanjing, Mr. Mark Rowswell(Da Shan), Professor Luke Chen, Vice-President of McMaster University, and many Canadian scholars, to participate in this activity. All campus activities about Canadian studies are variable and have got good effects, attention and comments.

Prof. Feng Jianwen, Director of the Canadian Studies Center, made a concluding speech and shared recent Canadian studies information. Prof. Feng emphasized that our center is one of the most active and fruitful centers in China and got attention from Chinese and Canadian research fields and related organizations. Furthermore, it has become a research and communication platform involving multidiscipline and opened a productive window for our university to Canada and international academics. In 2009, the Center had five PDG programs approved and funded by DFAIT, ranking at the top of all the centers in China. In 2010, apart from getting more projects approved and funded, we plan to successfully carry out the Canada Week to celebrate the 40th aniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relationship between China and Canadad; and at the same time, make good preparations for participating in the 14^th ACSC Biennial Conference held in Beijing Foreign Studies University, hoping to become the center with the most participants again. At last Prof. Feng arranged academic lectures on Canadian studies and other matters.

　=> 1. 加拿大多伦多大学曾家达教授在山东大学作学术讲座(Professor A. Ka Tat Tsang from the University of Toronto Giving academic Lectures at Shandong University)

DSC09113_调整大小 2009年12月23-28日，多伦多大学社会工作学院曾家达教授访问山东大学哲学与社会发展学院，并参加了第三届山东省社会工作教育年会暨中国社会工作教育协会山东省地区中心社会工作指标体系研讨会。曾家达教授为多大Factor-Inwentash社会工作与全球社区讲座教授和中国项目主任。

12月26日上午，曾家达教授为山东高校社会工作专业老师主讲题为“知行易径”（SSLD）的学术报告。“知行易径”的英文译名原意是技巧和策略学习与发展。它是一个助人学习、发展日常生活所需的策略和技巧的学习系统，使学员能更合宜互惠地处理个人及人 Prof. Ka Tat Tsang offering lecture on Strategiesand际关系上的种种状况。SSLD学习系统已在加 Skills Learning and Development 拿大以及全球被广泛地应用于不同领域的专业实务。

体教室做了“实证为基础的实务（EBP）”专题报告。曾教授阐述了EBP在各个领域的研究应用以及所取得的成绩,尤其强调在社会工作中应该充分整合研究证据、临床知识和具体技术。

曾家达教授在访问期间，还参加了济南山泉社会工作服务社的年度总结会，并访问了山泉服务社社会工作员所进驻的服务机构——山东省精神卫生中心和济南市精神病院。曾家达教授任济南山泉社会工作服务社理事，该服务社的社会工作岗位开发和专业服务得到了曾教授主任的中国项目的指导和资助。

Professor A. Ka Tat Tsang，Factor-Inwentash Chair in Social Work in the Global Community and Director of the China Project of the Faculty of Social Work University of Toronto, visited the School of Philosophy and Social Development, Shandong University in December 23 to 28, 2009. He also participated in the Third Annual Provincial Conference on Social Work Education during his stay at Shandong University.

Professor A. Ka Tat Tsang offered Prof. Tsang ofering lecture on Evidence-Based Practice a keynote presentation on the Strategies and Skills Learning and Development (SSLD) Model to social work faculty members of Colleges and Universities in the Shandong province in the morning of December 26. SSLD is a learning system for people to develop strategies and skills for managing personal and interpersonal issues in their lives. SSLD has been applied extensively in different areas of professional social work practice in Canada and internationally.

Professor Ka Tat Tsang gave an academic lecture titled Rethinking Evidence-Based Practice in the afternoon of December 26. The lecture explained the relations of knowledge, values and skills in social work practices, and emphasized the central significance of in DSCN2256 tegrating research evidence, clinical knowledge, and embodied skills in social work practice.

Professor Ka Tat Tsang attended the annual evaluation meeting of Jinan Shanquan Social Work Service Agency, and visited two hospitals that the agency workers worked in, Shandong Provincial social Health Center and Jinan Municipal Psychiatric Hospital. Professor Tsang is a trustee of Jinan Shanquan Social Work Service Agency. The professional development and service of the agency received great support and guidance from the China Project directed Prof. Ka Tat Tsang at the annual evaluation meeting by Professor Ka Tat Tsang. of Jinan Shanquan Social Work Service Agency

　=> 2.. 加拿大社会工作友人黄智雄先生与山东大学(Mr. Percy Wong, a Canadian Social Work Volunteer Visiting Shandong University)

.2003年在山东大学设立“关怀”基金 Conference of Social Work Education（2009）（现为永久性基金），资助社会工作专业的学生学费，奖励在专业学习、科研创新和社会服务方面表现优秀的学生。黄智雄先生过去3年里在济南还建立、捐资了两个非营利性社区服务机构。

2009年期间，加拿大社会工作友人黄智雄先生三次访问山东大学哲学与会发展学院。3月3月28日至4月10日，黄智雄为山东大学社会工作系研究生承担“社会保障综合实务”课程；7月27-29日，参加第五届社会政策国际论坛，做了《艾滋病政策的迷思：香港经验》的专题发言；12月25-28日，参加山东省第三届社会工作教育年会和第7届“关怀”奖助学金的发放仪式。黄智雄先生于20世纪90年代初从香港移民加拿大多伦多，但仍然十分关心中国内地社会工作教育和社会服务事业的发展。黄智雄先生于 Mr. Percy Wong speaking at the Third Annual Provencal

DSC04843_调整大小 Mr. Percy Wong, a Canadian social work volunteer, visited Shandong University School of Philosophy and Social Develop-ment three times in 2009. From March 3 to April 10, Mr. Wong offered a course “Comprehensive Practice of Social Welfare” to the postgraduates of the Department of Social Work at Shandong University. He attended the Fifth International Symposium and Photo of Seventh Care-Giving Studentship Awarding Ceremony Lectures on Social Policy on July 27-29, 2009 and made a speech entitled “The Myth of AIDS Policies: the Experience of Hong Kong”. On December 25-28 Mr. Wong participated the Third Annual Provencal Conference of Social Work Education and the Seventh “Care-Giving” Studentship Awarding Ceremony at Shandong University. After migrating to Toronto from Hong Kong in the early 1990s Mr. Percy Wong and he gave much attention to the development of social work education and social service in mainland China. He established “Care-Giving Fund” at Shandong University in 2003 (became a permanent fund since 2006) to supply tuition to the students majoring social work and award them for their excellence in academic study, practicum and social service. Two community-based social service NGOs in Jinan are also established and sponsored by Mr. Wong in the past three years.

　 =>3. 不列颠哥伦比亚大学和卡尔加里大学教授来山东大学参加第五届社会政策国际论坛（Ca-nadian Professors Participating the Fifth International Symposium on Social Policy at Shandong University）

DSC03557_缩小大小加拿大不列颠哥伦比亚大学社会工作学院殷妙仲副教授和卡尔加里大学社会工作学院教授黎永亮于2009年7月26-29日，应邀来山东大学参加第五届社会政策国际论坛，分别做了《社会福利与人权：浅谈社会工作的使命》和《经济危机对加拿大的中国移民长者的影响》的主题发言。此次国际论坛由山东大学哲学与社会发展学院、中国社会学会社会政策专业委员会和华盛顿大学（圣路易斯）社会发展研究中心联合主办。殷妙仲副教授在会议第三天的系列讲座上，为来自中国各高校的青年老师和研究生做了 Prof. Yan offering the lecture“Program Planning Model” 《项目规划模式》的专题培训报告。两位教授在会后还访问了当地的基层社区和社会服务机构。

DSC02654_缩小大小 Miu-chung Yan, Associate Professor of School of Social Work at University of British Columbia, and Daniel W.L. Lai, Professor & Associate Dean of Faculty of Social Work at University of Calgary Alberta came to Shandong University to attend The Fifth International Symposium and Lectures on Social Policy, July 27-29, 2009. The topics of their speeches at the conference were “Social Welfare and Human Rights: on the mission of social work” and “Impact of economic crisis on ageing Chinese Professor Lai at a panel discussion of the Symposium immigrants in Canada”. This International Symposium is co-sponsored by School of Philosophy and Social Development at Shandong University, Center for Social Policy Studies at Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and Center for Social Development at Washington University (St. Louis). Professor Miu-chung Yan offered a lecture “Program Planning Model” in a training class on the third day of the Symposium and Lectures. Professors Yan and Lai also visited some local communities and social service agencies after the Symposium.

　=>4. 多伦多谢安国先生在济南举办《婚姻家庭辅导系列讲座》(Marriage and Family Lectures Conducted by Mr. Dominic Tse from Toronto)

多伦多“银禧社”社长银禧社社长、北约华人基督教会堂主任谢安国牧师于2009年2月24-26日到济南山泉社会工作服务社，举办《婚姻家庭辅导系列讲座》，讲座专题分别“婚姻家庭咨询辅导中的常见问题” 、“婚前辅导的理念与技巧”和“婚姻家庭临床辅导：个案分析”。谢安国先生的讲座生动幽默，深入浅出，讲授了如何借助教育与咨询，让未婚者对婚姻的定义，双方的背景与性格有更深的了解，继而面对婚姻生活的各种挑战，建立一个恒久美满的婚姻生活。谢安国先生从17岁作为留学生来到加拿大，积极认同和参与加拿大社会文化和政治生活，为加拿大各族裔成员提供广泛社会服务。 Mr. Dominic Tse delivering a lecture 山东大学社会工作系主任、济南山泉社会工作服务社理事长高鉴国教授向谢安国先生颁发“社会服务督导”聘书。参加此次讲座学习的人员有山东大学、山东师范大学、山东建筑大学社会工作专业老师、研究生和山泉社会工作服务社等机构的工作人员20余人。

Rev. Dominic Tse, President of Jubilee Centre for Christian Social Action and Senior Pastor of North York Chinese Community Church, conducted three Marriage and Family lectures at Jinan Shan Quan Community Services Centre on Feb 24-26, 2009. The lecture titles are: “Common Issues in Marriage and Family Counseling,” “Pre-marital Counseling: Theory and Practice,” “Marriage and Family Counseling: Case Studies.” More than twenty people attended the lectures, including graduate students and professors from Social Work Department of Shandong University, Shandong Normal University and Shandong Architecture University as well as staff members of Shan Quan Community Services Centre. Using lively presentations, Mr. Tse effectively showed the participants how to help couples in pre-marital education sessions so that they can gain a deeper understanding of the meaning of marriage, assess the impact of their respective family backgrounds and personality on marital relationship, and learn practical ways to handle challenges in marital life such as communications and conflicts in order to develop a long lasting and happy marriage. Mr. Tse migrated to Canada as a seventeen

Professor Gao Jianguo presentingt Mr. Tse year old teenager and has been living and

with a letter of appointment working in Canada for over thirty years. Being a church minister in Canada, he is very experienced in pre-marital and marriage counseling. He is also actively involved in Canada’s multicultural society. Professor Gao Jianguo, head of the Department of Social Work at Shandong University and the Director of Shan Quan Community Services Centre was pleased to present Mr. Tse with a letter of appointment to be one of Shan Quan’s Community Services Supervisors.

　=>5. 《加拿大社会工作》出版(The Book Social Work in Canada Published)

加拿大社会工作封面_大由济南大学邵金华讲师编著的《加拿大社会工作》近期由中国社会出版社出版。该书系山东大学加拿大研究中心研究员、山东大学社会工作系教授高鉴国主编的《海外社会工作介绍丛书》之一，内容包括：加拿大社会工作概况、发展历史、加拿大的社会福利制度、社会工作组织、社会工作者、社会工作教育、社会工作实务、社区发展，以及加拿大社会工作的未来。此书的出版将有助于促进中国社会福利与社会工作事业之间的相互了解和交流。 ...... The book is one of Foreign Social Work Introduction Series edited by Gao Jianguo, a professor of social work department, Shandong University and a researcher of ACSC. The book contains general situation and development history of Canadian social work, Canadian social welfare institution, social work organization , social workers , social work education, social work practice, community development and the future of Canadian social work. The publishing of the book will be helpful to promote mutual understanding and communication between social welfare and social work enterprise in China.

　=>1.） 加拿大学者在北京外国语大学举办多场讲座(Canadian Scholars Gave Lectures at Beijing Foreign Studies University)

2009年3月26日上午，加拿大阿尔伯塔大学(University of Alberta)中国学院前任院长、麦克塔格特讲座教授姜闻然教授在北京外国语大学英语学院加拿大研究中心进行了主题为“能源安全与中加关系”的讲座。

姜教授在讲座中谈到了中国的能源需求、中国能源的“走出去”战略及其影响、中加能源关系以及对未来该领域的展望。姜闻然教授简要介绍了中国经济的迅速发展对能源的需求与日俱增的背景；分析了面对能源短缺的严峻形势，中国实施了“走出去”的战略，论述了中国满足国内需求与非洲、南美洲国家的合作以及其影响。姜闻然教授指出，中国和加拿大在能源方面一直有比较广泛的合作，而加拿大作为能源大国，石油储

当天下午，来自加拿大达尔豪斯大学(Dalhousie University) 的社会学教授Herbert Gamberg教授和Ruth Gamberg教授在北京外国语大学英语学院举办题为“加拿大气候变化政策及其保守主义立场”的讲座。首先Herbert Gamberg教授简单讲解了西方政治思想演变的历史，然后播放了CBC的纪录片The Fifth Estate，让大家更好地了解美国气候变化政策的制定与工业巨头千丝万缕的联系，同时介绍了加拿大气候政策的制定与美国相似的之处。随后，Ruth Gamberg教授进一步解释了加拿大政府，尤其是哈珀执政之后气候变化政策的特点，深入解读了加拿大在哥本哈根世界气候大会上做出的减排承诺，并且展望了加拿大气候变化政策的前景。

这两场讲座独特的视角和丰富的内容吸引了热情的听众，三位教授生动、专业的讲解给大家留下了深刻的印象。

On March 26, 2010, Prof. Wenran Jiang, Mactaggart Research Chair and former director of China Institute at the University of Alberta, gave a lecture on Energy Security and Canada-China Relations in the School of English and International Studies, Beijing Foreign Studies University. The lecture consisted of five parts, namely, China’s energy and resource demand, China’s “go out” Prof. Herbert Gamberg and Prof. Ruth Gamberg strategy and its impact, Canada-China with some of the audience at BFSU relations overview, Canada-China energy relations and prospects in the future. Prof Jiang said that China’s demand for energy increased significantly with the development of economy; faced with this challenge, China implemented the strategy of “going out” to satisfy domestic demands by cooperating with African and South American countries. Prof. Wenran Jiang pointed out that China and Canada have a tradition of energy cooperation. Canada, as a potential energy superpower with the second largest oil reserve in the world, would play an important role in China’s energy strategy.

In the afternoon, Prof. Herbert Gamberg and Professor Ruth Gamberg from Sociology School, Dalhousie University gave another lecture on Canada's Climate Change Policy and Its Conservative Stance. Prof. Herbert Gamberg first reviewed western political thoughts and the evolution of conservatism, then showed a CBC documentary “The Fifth Estate” which presented the complicated connection between government climate change policy-making and industrial giants and the similarity between the US and Canada. 　=>1. 国家档案局馆长杨冬权向加拿大文化研究学者景卫东致以节日问候（Mr. Yang Dong-quan, Curator of China Archive Bureau Delivering Festival Compliments to Canadianist Mr. Jing Weidong）

2010年2月9日上午8时许，河南省档案局办公室主任电话通知我，让给国家档案局值班室回个电话，说有事情找我。当我回电话过去以后，工作人要了我的手机号码，告诉我：请保持电话畅通，在今天下午的某个时候有领导同志将和我通话。

下午3时许，我接到国家档案局馆长杨冬权同志从北京打来的电话，其通话内容有二：一是我邮寄给他和令计划同志（中共中央书记处书记、中央办公厅主任、分管国家档案局馆工作）的《加拿大国家档案图书馆珍藏》一书已经收到，他代表令计划同志和他本人对我进行问候，恰逢虎年前夕，顺便拜个早年；二是对《加拿大国家档案图书馆珍藏》一书在中国出版发行一事予以肯定和褒奖鼓励。

能够在中国盛大的传统节日之前，收到中国档案界最高行政长官的问候和褒奖鼓励，我个人认为这不仅是对我个人的问候，也是对全国档案工作者和中国加拿大研究会会员的问候，我不过是幸运者的代表之一。

2009年12月18日，全国档案局馆长会议在济南召开之前，我把在9月份出版的《加拿大国家档案图书馆珍藏》一书送与蔡千树先生（中国档案学档案事业类核心期刊《档案管理》杂志社主编、著名网络《档案界》版主）斧正留作纪念。蔡先生在高兴之余告诉我，全国档案局馆长会议即将在济南召开，国家档案局有一个会议通知精神：让各个省档案局馆上报2009年工作的

to right: Ms. Shi Shuyun, Mr. Ian Wilson, and Chinese Ambassador Mei Ping) 议我把《加拿大国家档案图书馆珍藏》在中国出版发行一事作为“闪光点”报送。随后，我征求河南省档案局技术处处长谢建波先生意见，他表示赞同蔡先生建议，增加了我的信心。最后我又征求河南省档案局主要领导同志意见，大家对此事没有异议。在河南省档案局局长王国振同志的鼓励下，我分别将书寄给令计划和杨冬权同志留作纪念。

《加拿大国家图书档案馆珍藏》这部书，是加拿大国家图书档案馆的专家和学者1992年为迎接第十二届国际档案代表大会在加拿大召开特意编撰的。它以真实的文字记录、珍贵的图片、详实的数据、图文并茂的完美结合，较为详细地介绍了加拿大历史的演变与发展的过程。书中记述的内容，是加拿大国家和人民的宝贵财富，也是世界人类文化遗产中的重要组成部分。

加拿大国家档案图书馆馆长伊恩·威尔森先生，于2004-2005年邀请我到访问加拿大。2004年9月28日，我以访问学者联谊会渥太华分会会长的身份出席中华人民共和国驻加拿大使馆在渥太华举行建国55周年招待会。Ian E. Wilson先生应邀出席，受到梅平大使和教育参赞师淑云女士的热情欢迎。在招待会上，我受梅平大使和教育参赞师淑云女士的委托，向Ian E. Wilson先生赠送《中国京剧》、《中国文化》等中国书籍和声像文化资料。事后，Ian E. Wilson 馆长向我回赠了有他亲笔题字和签名《加拿大家档案馆珍藏》一书。

我首先向Ian·E·Wilson先生提出在中国翻译和出版该书的意向。经过加拿大国家图书档案馆保存保护中心主任皮埃尔·嘎玛席先生、加拿大国家图书档案馆Blais Gabrielle女士、Claire Rochon女士等官员的衷心支持，和中华人民共和国驻加拿大大使馆教育参赞师淑云女士、文化参赞杨学伦先生、资深外交官吴淑洁女士的鼎力相助，版权问题获得圆满解决。

河南省图书馆王爱功馆长从2007年就开始筹划与努力，对促成《加拿大国家图书档案馆珍藏》在中国的出版起到了至关重要的作用。现任中华人民共和国驻联合国教科文组织大使衔代表师淑云女士为该书的中译本作序。加

2009年9月，在河南省图书馆成立百年的时候，《加拿大国家档案图书馆珍藏》作为河南省图书馆百年庆典的系列丛书，在中国公开出版发行。它不仅填补了多项国内国际空白，也为国际档案界在学术交流与合作方面开辟了先河，树立了典范。《加拿大国家档案图书馆珍藏》一书系A4版本，370余页，有200余张彩色插图，是作为珍藏版档案图书资料出版。该书采用高品质轻质纸张，全彩色印刷，设计精美，价格不菲，数量有限，被全国图书馆档案馆收藏，各大书店均无可售。

On Feb. 9, 2010 when Chinese New Year was coming Mr. Yang Dongquan, Curator of China Archive Bureau called Mr. Jing Weidong, translator of Treasures of the National Librarian Archives of Canada to deliver his festival compliments. Mr. Jing Weidong is a research fellow in Henan Archive Bureau and member of the Association for Canadian Studies in China. After publishing his translation last year, he sent a copy respectively to Mr. Yang Dongquan and Mr. Ling Jihua, member, secretariat and Director of Office of CCP Central Committee who Mr Jing Weidong, joinhed by Ms. Wu Shujie from is in charge of national archives work. Chineses Embassy in Ottawa, signed copyeright agreement On behalf of Mr. Ling Jihua and with Publication Adminstration of Canada himself, Mr. Yang Doquan thanked Jing Weidong on the phone and spoke highly of the book.

The book was compiled by experts and scholars from Library and Archives of Canada in 1992 to welcome the 12^th International Archives Conference held in Canada. With accurate words, precious pictures and detailed data it introduces the Canada’s historical evolution and development, and is the valuable wealth of Canadian people as well as important proportion of human cultural heritage in the world.

Mr. Ian E. Wilson, Curator of Library and Archives of Canada (LAC) invited Mr. Jing Weidong to visit Canada in 2004-2005. On Sept. 28, 2005 Mr. Jing attended a reception given by Chinese Embassy in Ottawa to celebrate the 55^th anniversary of founding of the P. R. China where Mr. Ian E. Wilson was present and welcomed by Mr. Mei Ping, Chinese Ambassador to Canada, and Ms. Shi Shuyun, Cultural Counsellor of the Embassy. Entrusted by them Mr. Jing Weidong presented to Mr. Ian E.

in English from Mr.Jing Weidong（right） Chinese Culture and other books including audio-visual items. After the event Mr. Ian E. Wilson presented in return to Mr. Jing Weidong Treasures of the National Librarian Archives of Canada with his inscription and signature.

Mr. Jing Weidong expressed to Mr. Ian E. Wilson his intention to translate the book into Chinese. With the help of Officials from LAC and Chinese Embassy in Ottawa, Mr. Jing Weidong signed an agreement with LAC on copyright of the book’s Chinese edition.

Beginning to plan and prepare for the Chinese edition in 2007 Mr. Wang Aigong, Curator of Henan Provincial Library, played a very important role in its publication. Ms. Shi Shuyun, now representative of P. R. China to UNESCO prefaced the book. On July, 2009 Mr. Patrice Cousineau, Counsellor of Public Affairs and Culture Section, Canadian Embassy in Beijing received Mr. Wang Aigong, Mr. Jing Weidong and Ms. Zhang Mei, co-translator of the book.

With 370 pages and more

Mr. Patrice Cousineau receiving Mr. Wang Aigong, Mr. Jing than 200 color illustrations the Weidong and Ms. Zhangmeifang at Canadian Embassy in Beijing book was published in September, 2009 among the series celebrating the 100^th anniversary of establishment of Henan Provincial Library. Printed in high-grade paper and finely designed as rare edition the, book has been collected by National Book Archives of China.

　=>2. 北京工业大学两名学生获“加拿大学生流动支持项目”资助赴加拿大实习（Two Students from Beijing University of Technology Did a Placement in Canada Supported by “Canada Student Mobility Support Program Funding”）

2009年11月到2010年1月，北京工业大学社会工作系两名学生获得“加拿大学生流动支持项目”资助，在加拿大进行了为期3-4个月的实习，详细了解了加拿大社会工作教育体系。她们在卡尔顿大学社会工作系Karen教授的督导下，参观了社会工作相关的各类机构、组织，对于加拿大的社会福利制度和社会工作实务有了深刻的了解。

除了在卡尔顿大学的社会工作系进行课程学习以外，此次项目的最大亮点就在于参观当地的福利机构，向专业的社会工作人员学习，研究各种不同的社会工作服务项目。在交流期间，学生们分别走访了社区、儿童福利机构、精神康复中心、政府机构部门和社区矫治服务中心。她们主要参观的地点：皇家渥太华精神健康中心，派瑞松女皇等3个社区健康中心，加拿大联邦政府人力资源技术发展部门，渥太华儿童救援中心和霍华德协会（社区矫治中心），救世军（加拿大最大的非政府组织）。

实习学生与卡尔顿大学社会工作学院的老师和学生进行了深入的交流，介绍了中国国内社会工作教育和实务的状况。实习学生在参观和短期实习期间，深入学习了社会工作实务在加拿大渥太华的发展状况，了解了社会工作者的工作内容、职业守则以及帮助工作对象的具体程序。加拿大社会工作系统的教育体系和发达的实务领域给两位中国社会工作学生留下了深刻的印象。

加拿大福利制度完善，社会工作发展历史较长，非常值得社会工作学生学习。通过这次国外实习，学生们开拓专业知识视野，

The Canadian Embassy awarded “Canada Student Mobility Support Program Funding” to two Social Work students in Beijing University of Technology in 2009. These two students did a placement and got a clear perspective of the Canadian System for Social Work Education during the fall term of 2009. Under the guidance of Prof. Karen at the College of Social work, Carleton University, they visited various organizations. Moreover, they had a deep understanding of the Canadian Social Welfare System and the Social Work Practice.

Excepting learning the courses, the merit of the program was guiding the students to observe the local welfare organizations, learn from the professional social workers and study various programs of social work service. During the intercommunion, they visited communities, children’s welfare organization, mental health center, community correctional service center and the local authorities. They are: Royal Ottawa Mental Health Center, Pinecrest Queensway Community Health Center, South-key Community Health Center, the Human Resource and Skill Development Department in the Federal Government of Caqnada, the Children’s Aid Society of Social worker and his group member Ottawa, the John Howard Society and the Salvation Army.

In the meantime, the Chinese students and professors at the Social Work College, Carleton University had a comprehensive communication that involves the education of Chinese social work as well as the practice field. During this period, they had also understood the social work practice in Ottawa, the code of ethic for social work and the detailed procedures for helping clients. The first-class education system and practice field of Canadian social work impressed these two Chinese social work students.

Overall, through this precious opportunity, the two students broaden their horizon and improved a lot in the professional knowledge. It is really worth for social work students to learn the perfect welfare system and legislation in Canada due to its long history of social work.

应中央民族大学教育学院常有才教授的邀请，加拿大女王大学约翰·贝理（John Berry）教授，于2009年10-11月来中央民族大学教育学院讲学。本次来华讲学主题是：1. 跨文化心理学概论。2. 跨文化心理学基础理论与方法论。3. 文化间的互动关系：文化族群视角。

贝理博士系加拿大著名学府女王大学（Queen’s University）心理学系终身荣誉教授，国际跨文化心理学会的创始人之一和前主席。他的主要研究方向是跨文化心理学基础理论与研究方法、互惠民族关系心理、和谐关系调适、跨文化接触与心理适应、文化认同心理、跨文化家庭观、本土心理学、文化与认知等。

Invited by Professor Chang Yongcai, Institute of Education, Minzu University of China, Professor JOHN W. BERRY took a course to postgraduates and young teachers (42H) and three lectures to undergraduates (18H) from Oct 10-Nov14, 2009. His lectures focus on 1. Introduction to Cross-cultural Psychology；2. Theory and development of cross-cultural psychology 3. Intercultural Relations: Ethnocultural Groups. Dr. John Berry（Ph.D., University of Edinburgh）is a Professor Emeritus of Psychology at Queen's University, Canada. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Psychological Association, the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study, the International Association for Cross-Cultural Psychology, and the International Research, from which he received Lifetime Contribution Award (in 2005). His Current Research Interests: Intercultural relations in human development; Comparative methodology. He has published over 30 books in the area of cross-culture, social and cognitive psychology. His main research interests are in the area of acculturation and intercultural relations, with an emphasis on applications to immigration, educational and health policies.

=>2. 加拿大研究会执行主任杰克·杰瓦柏在中央民族大学讲座(ACS Director Jack Jedwab Lectured in Minzu University of China)

应中央民族大学外国语学院王朝晖博士的邀请，加拿大研究会执行主任（Exe- cutive Director, Association for Canadian Studies）杰克·杰瓦柏（Jack Jedwab）博士，于2009年12月9日在中央民族大学做了题为“加拿大人口、移民和加拿大华人”的学术报告。

报告开始前，中央民族大学外国语学院院长、博士生导师郭英剑教授会见了杰瓦柏博士，双方就进一步开展合作达成了初步意向。学术演讲由郭英剑院长主持，他详细介绍了杰瓦柏博士的学术成就，对他莅临民族大学外语学院表示热忱欢迎。

杰瓦柏博士的学术报告分六个部分：1.加拿大的国土 Professor Guo Yingjian, Dean of SFL presiding the lecture 面积和人口构成。2.加拿大的移民政策。3. 加拿大新公民指南。4.加拿大的语言。5.加籍中国人。6.移民与加拿大社会的距离。杰瓦柏博士的报告生动有趣，引人入胜，听众不仅包括外国语学院的师生和外教，也吸引了民族学和教育学院等系科的师生。一个小时的报告结束后，杰瓦柏博士又热心地回答师生们的问题，学术交流一直持续了2个多小时，最后大家合影留念，期待他再次来访。王朝晖博士还陪同杰瓦柏博士参观了中央民族大学民族博物馆和校园。

On December 9, 2009, Invited by Dr. Wang Chaohui, School of Foreign Languages (SFL), Minzu University of China (MUC), Dr. Jack Jedwab, Executive Director, Association for Canadian Studies (ACS), Montreal Canada, gave a wonderful presentation on Demographic Portrait of Canada, its Immigrants and Chinese Canadians at Hall of SFL.

Before the lecture, Professor Guo Yingjian, Dean of SFL, interviewed Dr. Jedwab, they discussed the cooperation between SFL and ACS. Professor Guo, on the behalf of students and teachers of SFL/ SFL gave a warm welcome to Dr. Jack Jedwab and introduced Dr. Jedwab’s great achievements in Canadian Studies.

Dr. Jedwab’s pre-sentation was divided into 6 parts. 1. Size and Population of Canada 2. Canada’s Immigration Policy 3. Canada’s New Citizenship Guide 4.Languages in Canada 5.Chinese Canadians 6.Social Distance. After the presentation, Dr. Jedwab answered the

At end of lecture, teachers and students of Minzu University took pictures with Dr. Jedwab. Everyone in School of Foreign Languages is looking forward to meeting Dr. Jedwab again. Dr. Wang took Dr. Jedwab visited the campus and the Ethnic Museum of Minzu University.

　=>3. 国家社科基金项目“中外文学交流史”（06BZW019）中国的加拿大文史研究成果统计通知 (Call fori Information on Publications of Canadian Literature and Culture Studies in China)

国家社科基金项目“中外文学交流史”（06BZW019），属于国家“十一五”重点出版丛书，共15卷，2011年出版。该项目由南京大学钱林森教授主持，钱林森是南京大学比较文学与比较文化研究所所长、博导、中国文化书院跨文化研究院副院长、中国比较文学学会副会长，国际双语论丛《跨文化对话》执行主编。

该项目正在统计中国在加拿大文学、文化、历史等方面的出版成果，包括文章、论文、访谈、教材、论著、译文和译书，统计结果将为国家社科基金项目“中外文学交流史”收录并出版。

　=>1.） “加拿大-中国：危机与挑战”国际学术研讨会在天津召开（The Symposium on “Canada-China: Crisis and Challenge” Held in Tianjin）

1月9日上午，“加拿大-中国：危机与挑战”国际学术研讨会在津开幕。会议由南开大学世界近现代史研究中心、南开大学加拿大研究中心主办、加拿大政府赞助、加拿大驻华大使馆协办。来自中国社会科学院、北京大学16所院校、科研机构的专家学者及南开在校硕士博士生近80位代表与会，提交会议论文28篇。开幕式由南开大学加拿大研究中心副主任杨令侠教授主持。加拿大驻华大使馆公使衔参赞、加拿大财政部驻华代表柯马克先生（Mark Kruger）、加拿大驻华大使馆公共事务处参赞高柏灵先生（Patrice Cousineau）、加拿大驻华大使馆公共事务处学关系官员王荔女士、全国人大外事委员会原副主任、南开大学兼职教授吕聪敏、南开大学副校长张静、外事处副处长林润辉、南开大学历史学院院长陈志强教授、南开大学世界近代史研究中心杨栋梁、韩琦教授出席开幕式并致辞。

Opening Ceremony of The Symposium on “Canada-China: Crisis and Challenge” 体系成功的原因”、“中加建交四十年的启示”的主题报告。加拿大驻华大使馆公使衔参赞、加拿大财政部驻华代表Mark Kruger介绍了加拿大成功应付金融危机的一些经验。许晖、李诺、王晓德、杨令侠四位专家学者围绕金融危机的影响、对加拿大的认识、中加两国的交流分别作了主题报告。
此次研讨会持续两天，分为三场大会发言，与会专家学者从政治、经济、文化等学科探讨加拿大防范危机的意识和面对危机的应变能力，进而增进中加双边合作与理解，推动我国现代化进程的健康发展，并促进我国加拿大研究的进一步发展。

The Symposium on “Canada-China: Crisis and Challenge” was held on January 9, 2010 in the city of Tianjin. It was co-hosted by the Research Centre for the History of Modern World and Canadian Studies Centre in Nankai University Sponsored by Canadian government and supported by Canadian Embassy in Beijing, nearly 80 scholars, experts and students from 16 universities, colleges and academic institutions, including Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Beijing University participated in the symposium. In addition, it brought together Ph. D students and graduate students from Nankai University. The number of papers presented reached twenty eight. Mr. Mark Kruger and Mr. Lv Congmin made keynote speeches entitled “How the Canadian Financial System Helped the Economy Weather the Crisis” and “China-Canada Relations in Forty Years and Its Implications” respectively. Minister-Counsellor Mark Kruger gave an introduction about the sucessful experience of Canada’s response to the financial system. Scholars including Hui Xu, Nuo Li, Xiaode Wang and Lingxia Yang, contributed their ideas and suggestions on the impacts of financial crisis, Chinese perception about Canada and communication between China and Canada.

Scholars and experts discussed Canada’s consciousness and ability in preventing and dealing with economic crisis from the perspectives of politics, economy and culture at the two-day symposium, with the hope of enhancing cooperation and understanding between the two nations, increasing the development of Chinese modernization in a healthy way and promoting Canadian studies in China. Much work was done in preperation and completion of the symposium. =>1. 1.中国社会科学院副院长武寅会见约克大学校长谢克瑞（WU Yin met visiting York President Mamdouh Shoukri）

2009年11月19日，中国社会科学院副院长武寅教授在北京会见了到访的约克大学校长满都·谢克瑞（Mamdouh Shoukri）先生，副校长罗娜·怀特（Lorna Wright）女士等一行4人。中国社会科学院国际合作局副局长张友云教授等陪同会见。双方着重探讨了今后进一步交流与合作的可能与前景。

武寅副院长欢迎谢克瑞校长访问中国社科院，介绍了社科院的五大学部（文史哲学、经济学、社会政法、国际研究、马克思主义研究）特色，表示中国社科院愿意与约克大学发展积极的合作关系，她建议双方应首先达成框架性交流协议。张友云副局长则向客人详细介绍了社科院与约克大学合作的历史和现状，并就具体的合作协议内容提出了建议。

谢克瑞校长对武寅副院长的会见表示感谢，他说，约克大学很有兴趣与社科院在历史、经济、社会政法等各个学科之间进行广泛的合作，希望在更高的层面上确定一个正式的机构性关系。在具体的操作层面上，约克大学的亚洲研究中心在这方面可以继续起重要作用。谢克瑞校长还邀请武寅副院长访问约克大学并尽快签订交流协议。陪同谢克瑞校长来访的还有：加中关系首席专家、约克大学政治学系弗罗里克（Bernie Frolic）教授，约克大学亚洲研究中心北京办事处王瑜女士等。中方参加会见的还有：国际合作局美大处处长张巧枝女士，中国加拿大研究会副秘书长杜发春等。

在京期间，谢克瑞校长一行还访问了北京外国语大学、北京大学和加拿大驻华大使馆。

On November 19 of 2009, Mrs WU Yin, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), met visiting Mr. Mamdouh Shoukri, President and Vice-Chancellor of the York University, and Dr. Lorna Wright, Associate Vice-President International of the York University in Beijing. Professor ZHANG Youyun, Vice Director-General, Bureau of International Cooperation at CASS attended this meeting.

Vice President Wu welcomed York guests to visit CASS, she introduced the 5 principal Academic Divisions of CASS including Academic Division of Philosophy, Literature and History, Academic Division of Economics, Academic Division of Law, Social and Political Studies, Academic Division of International Studies, and Academic Division of Marxist Studies. Vice President Wu mentioned that the CASS would like to strength the academic relationship with York University, she suggests that both sides to sign a MOU soon and she will be visiting Canada in 2010. Professor ZHANG Youyun, Vice Director-General, Bureau of International Cooperation at CASS provided the exchange history and current situation between two organizations.

Dr. Mamdouh Shoukri thanks for Professor Wu’s invitation, he said that the York University is very interested in collaborations of all the fields in history, economics, social and law etc. The Asia Research Center of the York will play a important role in the co-operation issue with CASS. Dr. Shoukri is accompanied by Dr. Lorna Wright, Associate Vice-President International, Prof. Bernie Frolic, Political Professor, and Ms. WANG Yu, Beijing Officer of Business School of York University.

The York delegation also paid a visit to Beijing Foreign Studies University, Peking University as well as the Canadian Embassy in Beijing.

=>2. 加拿大研究会执行主任杰瓦柏访问北京（ACS Executive Director Jack Jedwab visited Beijing）

应中国社会科学院民族所加拿大研究中心的邀请，位于蒙特利尔的加拿大研究会执行主任杰克·杰瓦柏（Jack Jedwab）博士，于2009年12月7－10日到北京访问。杰瓦柏先生此行的主要目的是争取中国社会科学院、国家民族事务委员会和加拿大驻华大使馆的支持，拟于2010年7月在上海举办中加移民与民族认同研讨会、出版加拿大研究图书等活动。

12月8日，加拿大驻华使馆公共事务处参赞高柏灵（Patrice Cousineau）先生和学术关系官员王荔女士与杰瓦柏先生进行了会谈。12月9日上午，国家民族事务委员会国际交流司副司长吴金光先生、政策研究室副主任李红杰教授会见了杰瓦柏博士。下午杰瓦柏博士在中央民族大学进行“加拿大的人口、移民和加拿大华人”的学术讲座。中国加拿大研究会副秘书长杜发春陪同杰瓦柏先生参加了在京的主要活动。

杰瓦柏先生现任加拿大研究会执行主任，研究专长为加拿大人口、民族认同和多元文化主义。2008年11月24日至12月6日，杰瓦柏博士曾作为加拿大学术界的代表，陪同加拿大总督米切尔·琼（Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada）到中欧三国（匈牙利、斯洛伐克和捷克共和国）进行国事访问。

加拿大研究会是一个加拿大学者研究加拿大的民间学会和政府智库。自1989年以来，加拿大研究会受任于加拿大外交部，在蒙特利尔接待和培训了300余人来自中国的“加拿大研究专项奖”获得者。

Invited by the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology at CASS, Dr. Jack Jedwab, Executive Director of the Association for Canadian Studies (ACS) visited Beijing on December 7-10, 2009. During this period, Dr. Jedwab paid a half-day visit individually to the State Commission of Ethnic Affairs (SCEA), the Canadian Embassy in Beijing, Minzu University of China and the CASS, welcomed by Mr. WU Jinguang, Depute Director-General, Bureau of International Exchange SCEA, Mr. LI Hongjie, Depute Director-General, Research Center of Ethnic Policy SCEA, Mr. Patrice Cousineau, Counselor and Head of Public Affairs, and Ms. Wang Li, Academic Relations Officer, Canadian Embassy etc.

Dr. Jedwab is presently Executive Director of the ACS. He is an expert in Canadian demography, minority identity and multiculturalism. As an academic representative in Canada, on November 24^th to December 6^th, Dr. Jack Jedwab companied Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada, paid a State visit to The People's Republic of Hungary, Slovak Republic and Check Republic in Central Europe.

For over thirty years, the ACS has been a non-profit organization initiating and supporting activities in the areas of research, teaching, and communication related to issues of historic and contemporary importance to Canadians and their country. Since 1989, the ACS has administered the Chinese Faculty Meet & Greet Program on behalf of the Department of Foreign Affairs & International Trade of Canada. The program receives the winners of the Special Chinese Prize for Canadian Studies in China during the spring of each year. The ACS assists twenty scholars to plan research and interview tours across Canada. They receive a three-day seminar in cross-cultural training, which presents Western-style communication skills and interviewing techniques, as well as instruction on the use of new information technologies and library systems. The ACS has a substantial network of contacts with Chinese scholars both as a result of its experience with the SACS program as well as through connections with the Canadian Studies programs in China.

2009年度，中国加拿大研究会秘书处依托中国社科院民族所加拿大研究中心，在北京接待了加拿大学者来访20余人次。

1.2月10日，卡尔加里大学教育学院副教授郭世宝来访。中国社科院民族所黄行副所长会见了郭世宝博士。社科院民族所加拿大研究中心张继焦、杜发春、周学文、张小敏，国家行政学院丁月牙教授等，与郭世宝教授就“加拿大回流中国的技术移民”话题进行了学术交流。

2. 2月12日，怀尔逊大学工商管理学院国际研究中心主任林小华（Howard Lin）教授来访。中国社会科学院学部委员、加拿大研究中心主任郝时远教授会见了加拿大客人。林小华教授在多伦多创建了“海鸥创业平台”。

3. 4月19日，加拿大大都市组织（Metropolis International）总裁霍华德·邓肯（Howard Duncan）博士来访。张继焦教授等与之进行了会谈。双方拟于2010年5月在北京召开“中国与亚洲的移民”国际研讨会，这是“国际大都市组织”在亚洲举办的第一次学术会议。 “国际大都市组织”于1996年起源自加拿大，是一个国际性移民研究组织。

4. 5月4-5日，加拿大政策研究所项目主任骆菁博士（Dr. Jean Lock Kunz）与渥太华大学Thomas Kunz 教授访问北京。骆菁博士在清华大学和北京大学做了“加拿大多元文化的未来”的学术交流报告。

5. 5月11日，不列颠哥伦比亚大学亚洲研究所彭德（Pitman Potter）教授访问北京。

6. 5月12日，中国社会科学院社会政法学部主任、民族所所长、学部委员、加拿大研究中心主任郝时远教授会见了到访的卢森堡驻华大使柯意赫博士（Carlo Krieger ）。柯意赫大使是一名社会人类学家，主要研究加拿大东部滨海诸省的印第安人的文化变迁和宗教。

7. 7月10日，多伦多大学社会学系Eric Fong 教授访问北京。

8. 7月21－25日，蒙特利尔大学丹尼斯·海雷（Denise Helly）教授访问北京，在中央民族大学和云南民族大学作了“加拿大多元文化主义”和“穆斯林在加拿大”的两次学术讲座。

9. 7月28－29日，“中加民族文化多样性管理研讨会”在昆明召开，共有15位来自加拿大的学者参加了会议，其中有5位经停北京。

10. 8月1－4日，不列颠哥伦比亚大学社会学系詹森（Graham Johnson）教授对中国珠江源头（位于云南省曲靖市沾益县）的经济发展和环境问题进行了调研，参加调研的还有不列颠哥伦比亚大学社会学系杜金荣博士、中国加拿大研究会副秘书长杜发春等。调研期间，中共曲靖市委副秘书长贺勇先生宴请了加拿大学者。

11. 9月29日，蒙特利尔大学地理系教授富彼得（Peter Foggin）教授访问北京。

12.10月19日，里贾纳大学研究生院副院长茹东燕（Dongyan Blachford）博士访问北京。

13. 12月7－10日，加拿大研究会（蒙特利尔）执行主任杰克·杰瓦柏（Jack Jedwab）访问北京。

14.12月8日，不列颠哥伦比亚大学亚洲研究所彭德（Pitman Potter）教授访问北京。

The Secretariat of ACSC Beijing and the Canadian Studies Center of Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (IEA/CASS), hosted 20 Professors and Scholars from Canada in 2009.

1. February 10^th, Dr. Shibao Guo, Associate Professor from Department of Education at the University of Calgary visited IEA at CASS. Professor Huang Xing, Vice Director of IEA welcomed Dr. Guo. Colleagues from IEA exchanged views with Professor Guo on the topic of Technical Returnees to China from Canada.

2. February 12^th, Dr. Howard Lin, Professor of Business Management School of the Ryerson University visited IEA, Professor Hao Shiyuan, Director of IEA welcomed Dr. Lin’s visit. Professor Lin built a network titled “Canadian Entrepreneurship & Innovation Platform” in Toronto.

3. April 19^th, Dr. Howard Duncan, Executive Head, Metropolis International Canada visited IEA. Professor ZHANG Jijiao hosted Dr. Duncan and exchanged ideas on Metropolis in Asia and China. Both sides decided to organize a conference on Migration in Asia on May of 2010 in Beijing. Metropolis is an international network for comparative research and public policy development on migration, diversity, and immigrant integration in cities in Canada and around the world.

4. May 4-5^th, Dr. Jean L. Kunz, Project Director of the Policy Research Initiative Canada, and Dr. Thomas Kunz, Professor of Department of Systems and Computer Engineering at Carleton University visited Beijing. Dr. Jean L.Kunz lectured in Peking University and Tsinghua University.

5. May 10^th, Dr. Pitman Potter, Professor of the Asia Research Institute at the University of British Columbia visited Beijing.

6. May 12^nd, Luxembourg Ambassador Carlo Krieger visited IEA at CASS, Professor HAO Shiyuan, Member of CASS and Director of IEA welcomed Luxembourg guest. Dr. Carlo Krieger is a social anthropologist, having studied cultural change and religion within native North America, particularly in the Canadian Maritimes.

7. July 10^th, Dr. Eric Fong, Professor of Sociology, University of Toronto visited Beijing.

8. Dr. Denise Helly, Professor of Anthropology at the University of Montréal visited Beijing, she lectured on Muslim in Canada and Multiculturalism in Canada, in the Minzu University of China and the Yunnan Minzu University.

9. July 28-29^th, Canada-China Symposium on Managing Ethno-Cultural Diversity was held in Kunming Yunan Province, the total participants from Canada are 15, among which 5 Canadian visited Beijing.

10. August 1^st -4^th, Dr. Graham Johnson, Professor of Sociology at the University of British Columbia, and Mr. Du Jingrong, PhD Candidate at the UBC, and Professor Du Fachun, Vice Secretary-General of ACSC , did a field research in the source area of the Pearl River(Zhujiang River) in Qujing City of Yunnan Province. Mr. HE Yong, Vice Secretary-General of CPC Committee of Qujing City welcomed Canadian scholars.

11. September 29^th, Dr. Peter Foggin, Professor of Geography at the University of Montreal visited Beijing.

12. October 19^th, Dr. Dongyan R. Blachford, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research at the University of Regina visited IEA.

13. December 7-10^th, Dr. Jack Jedwab, Executive Director of the Association for Canadian Studies visited Beijing.

14. December 8^th, Dr. Pitman Potter, Professor of the Asia Research Institute at the University of British Columbia visited Beijing.

15. December 12^nd, Dr. Monica Helly from University of Toronto and Dr.Jeremy Paltiel from Carleton University visited Beijing. =>1.）兰州大学加拿大研究中心举办加拿大研究系列讲座(A Series of Lectures on Canadian Studies Organized at Lanzhou University.)

从2009年11月开始，兰州大学加拿大研究中心举办加拿大研究系列讲座。第一讲的主讲人为中心主任刘艺工教授，讲座题目是“加拿大的民族政策与法制”；刘教授是兰大法学院的教师，是卓有建树的外国法制史专家，他的讲座首先介绍了加拿大法制的基本情况，接着回顾了加拿大民族政策与法制的发展与演变。他的讲座配有大量图片，生动有趣，知识丰富，受到了听众的普遍好评。第二讲主讲人为兰州大学历史文化学院博士生导师李静教授，讲座题目为“加拿大印第安人文化心理”。李教授一直从事加拿大印第安民族文化心理

Prof. Liu Yigong giving a lecture 研究。2005-2006年在加拿大渥太华大学做访问学者，期间曾访问9个印第安部落。回国后继续从事相关研究，曾在国内很多大学做过加拿大印第安人民族文化心理的报告。本次讲座李教授以一个文化人类学学者的视角结合自己加拿大访问的经历探讨了加拿大印第安人的文化心理问题，现场反响热烈；第三场讲座的主讲人是外国语学院教师毛刚副教授，主题是“弗莱与加拿大英语文学的发生发展”。毛老师曾参与完成国家社科项目“加拿大英语文学发生发展研究” 。他的讲座主要探讨了文学批评家弗莱从文化角度对加拿大英语文学确立的巨大贡献；第四场讲座的主讲人是国际政治学院的杨恕教授，杨恕是政治与行政学院教授、博士生导师。杨教授的讲座是关于中加关系问题。杨教授长期关注国际政治问题，本次讲座中，杨教授用很多新信息剖析了影响中加关系的几件大事，听众反响热烈。

不久，兰州大学加拿大研究中心还将推出几个讲座：外语学院杨士虎教授的加拿大商法问题、史菊鸿副教授的加拿大儿童文学、王小平的加拿大联邦诗人讲座等。

From 2009 November, Canada Studies Center of Lanzhou University organi-zed a series of lectures on Canadian studies. The first lecture was given by Prof. Liu Yigong, Director of the Centre, whose topic was "Canadian national policy and law". Prof. Liu, a distinguished scholar of foreign legal history, is a professor in the Law School of Lanzhou University. He first introduced the basic situation of the Canadian legal system, and then reviewed the development and evolution of Canadian national policy and law. With many pictures, his lecture Prof. Li Jing dilivering a lecture

was lively and interesting. The second lecture was made by Prof. Li Jing, an expert from the History and Culture School of Lanzhou University. Her lecture title was “the Psychological Issues of Canadian Indian". Professor Li has been engaged in Canadian Indian national cultural psychology studies for years. in 2005-2006 she stayed at Ottawa University, Canada as a visiting scholar and visited nine Indian tribes. Based on her experiences in Canada, Professor Li’s lecture discussed Canadian Indian culture, psychological problems from a cultural anthropological perspective. After the lecture, Prof. Li answered some questions from the audience. The third lecture “Frye and the Development of Canadian English literature " was made by Mao Gang, an associate professor from School of Foreign Languages and Literature. His lecture main-ly discussed the enormous contribution of Frye, a great Canadian literary critic, from a cultural perspective. The fourth speaker was Prof. Yang Shu from School of International Politics. Prof. Yang's lecture was about Sino-Canada relation-ships. Professor Yang has

Prof. Yang Shu making a lecture been studying international politics for years. In his lecture, he analyzed several events that influence the relationships with much new information. After the lecture, he discussed with the audience on several controversial issues.

Before long Canadian Studies Center in Lanzhou University will launch more lectures on Canadian studies, such as Prof. Yang Shihu’s lecture on Canadian literature, Associate Prof. Shi Juhong’s lecture on Canadian children's literature, and Wang Xiaoping’s lecture on Canadian Confederate poets, etc.
