第34期 6/20/ 2007  中国加拿大研究会会员信息站 The Association for Canadian Studies in China ListServe =>1. 中国（泛珠三角）与加拿大：经贸合作前景、障碍与对策----“泛珠三角与加拿大经贸合作暨当前国际经贸热点问题论坛”在广东外语外贸大学召开（Symposium on Economic Cooperation between Canada and Pan-Pearl River Delta was successfully held in Guangdong University of Foreign Studies）          中国与加拿大两国的友好关系源远流长，经贸交流合作不断加深。为进一步增进中加双方的了解，发掘双方经贸合作的潜力，由广东外语外贸大学加拿大研究中心主办，加拿大驻广州总事馆协办的“泛珠三角与加拿大经贸合作暨当前国际经贸关系热点问题论坛”国际研讨会于2007年5月11――13日在广外大大学城校区召开。这次会议得到加拿大政府资助。来自加拿大驻广州领事馆、加拿大约克大学（York University）、复旦大学、厦门大学、华中科技大学、中央财经大学、暨南大学、西南大学、江西财经大学、南京政治学院、兰州商学院、华南师范大学、华南农业大学、广东社会科学院、广东外语外贸大学及广州市内多所大学等30多个机构及媒体的专家和学者50多人和40多位研究生参加了会议，加拿大研究中心主任朱建成教授主持了会议开幕式。会议共收到论文31篇，主题发言19位专家，并展开了讨论，取得了丰硕的成果。加拿大领事发言稿、会议详细报道和照片见附件。(广东外语外贸大学加拿大研究中心供稿) Symposium on Economic Cooperation between Canada and Pan-Pearl River Delta( Pan-PRD) was held from May 11 to 13, sponsored by the Center for Canadian Studies, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies（GDUFS） and coordinated by Canadian Consulate-general in Guangzhou．With the financial support of the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Canadian government, this symposium was aimed to study and discuss some hot issues deeply both in theory and practice and to academic exchanges in a wider scale.Main topics of the Symposium were: Investment and Trade between Canada and Pan-PRD1.       The potential cooperative opportunities between Canada and Pan-PRD2.       Sustainable development and Canadian experiences3.       The strategies and prospects of the bilateral economic and trade development in the 21st centuryThe 3-days conference was a great success. There were 2 Canadian scholars presented, one is from Economics and International Business School, York University; there were also more than 50 scholars and professors from different universities and institutions all over China attended the conference, such as from: Fudan University, Xiamen Universit y, Central University of Finance and Economics, Central China University of Science & Technology, Guangdong Academy of Social Science; Guangdong University of Business Studies, South China Normal University, Jinan University, South China Agricultural University, Jiangxi University of Finance & Economics, School of Economics & Management, Shaoguan University, Guangdong Province; School of Finance, Jiaying University, Huizhou College, Guangdong, Lanzhou Commercial College, Gansu Province, Southwest University,Chongqing City; and Guangdong University of Foreign Studies .More than 40 postgraduates from GDUFS and three reporters from newspapers and TV stations in Guangzhou also joined us. Altogether 32 academic papers submitted to the conference.Professor Zhu Jiancheng, director of the Center for Canadian Studies, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, chaired the opening ceremony, Professor Dong Xiaoling, Vice President of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, made a welcome speech, Ms. Adeline Leung, Vice Consul & Trade Commissioner from Canadian Consulate-general in Guangzhou, made a congratulating speech（see the attached file）. At formal academic sessions, 14 professors including Professor Bernard M. Wolf, director of Economics and International Business School from York University, Canada, gave their keynote speeches. During the symposium, you could find heated discussions on hot issues; active questions and answers. All participants benefited a lot from the symposium. (written by Canadian Studies Centre, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies)    　=>2. 冯建文教授和赵慧珍教授主持的国家社科基金项目《加拿大英语文学发生与发展研究》通过鉴定并结项( A Study of the Rising and Development of Canadian Literature in English, a research project, gets high appraisals )  冯建文教授和赵慧珍教授主持的国家社科基金项目《加拿大英语文学发生与发展研究》(04BWW010)近日通过国家鉴定并获结项证书。该项目是我国首次对加拿大英语文学发生学和发展史方面的系统研究，最终成果是一部研究专著，六十余万字。鉴定专家一致认为该项目是一项优秀的成果，具有很高的学术价值。鉴定专家之一认为“本书是国内第一部全面而系统研究加拿大英语文学史的专著，它真正做到了涉猎全面，梳理系统，论述较为深入细致，如实地呈现了加国英语文学的发生和发展的逻辑进程。且切实地从作品及其历史文化现实出发，进行了相当精当的分析和评论。因此它具有很高的学术和理论价值。”   另一位鉴定专家认为该书“引用的材料信息新，最新资料为2006年。论述的作家、诗人多达175位，涉及的作品近千。内容翔实，不可谓不是研究加拿大文学的一部鸿篇巨制。”又一位鉴定专家认为该书“从发生学原理、发展机制入手，对加拿大英语文学进行了全面、系统的描述、分析和概括，充实了加拿大英语文学的研究，同时也丰富了文学发生学、发展学的研究。”还有一位鉴定专家认为“该成果的特色是内容新近，论证简明扼要，详略得当，资料丰富翔实。对加拿大英语文学每个发展阶段的国家史、社会史有着清晰的认识，表现了中国学者独到的视角和研究方法。”专家们在肯定该项成果的同时也提出了非常宝贵的修改意见，作者将认真按专家的意见进行修改，使之以更加完美的面貌出版。A Study of the Rising and Development of Canadian Literature in English, a project supported by the China’s National Planning Office for Promoting Philosophy and Social Sciences, undertaken by a research team under the leadership of Professor Feng Jianwen and Professor Zhao Huizhen, has been examined by specialists and got the certificate for achievement.This project is the first systematic study of the rising and development of Canadian Literature in English and the final result is a monograph with about 600,000 Chinese characters.The specialists are all in an agreement that this project is an excellent academic achievement with a great theoretical value. One of the specialists says “this book is the first monograph on Canadian Literature in English in China. It presents a logical progress of Canadian Literature from the very beginning to the well-developed stage, through an over-all perspective and a systematic arrangement, as well as detailed discussions.”Another specialist says “this book uses very new materials, and among them the most recent information belongs to 2006. As many as 175 authors and poets are discussed in this book, and nearly 1000 works are analyzed or cited. With such a great abundance, this book can never be over-praised for its magnificence.”Yet another specialist says “this book, by a good combination of literature with Canadian history and society, draws a clear picture about every stage of the national development and social evolution of Canada, thus showing a unique perspective and methodology often found in the Chinese scholarly tradition. ”The specialists also point out some rooms for improvement in this book and the authors will do some earnest revisions according to their comments and will make sure to publish the book as perfect as possible.
