Visited Canada on SACS for three times, in 1991, 1994 and 1998 respectively.

Education and working experience Yang Haocheng, born in Yixing, Jiangsu Province, China, is a M.A., Ph. D., and an associate professor at the School of Foreign Languages and Culture of Nanjing Normal Univ. His research covers English and American lit., comparative studies between Chinese and Western cultures, history and theory of Chinese and Western art, and translatology. He has published three translations (Gulliver’s Travels, The Silence of the Lambs, and Cat’s Eye), two treatises (Highlights of Chinese Calligraphy and First Light over the East Horizon), one CD-ROM (English narration for Suzhou Gardens), and ten theses on various subjects.
