最近，加拿大使馆文化参赞柏伊恩（Ian Burchett）先生致函所有接受过CCSEP项目资助访问加拿大的中国学者，希望他们都能访问一下最近新建立的CCSEP学者学友网。并进行在线登记，以便今后获取交流信息，加强合作。下面是他的来信原文和译文大意。
亲爱CCSEP学者：
作为CCSEP（Canada-China Scholars' Exchange Program）获奖者，请你们到访英语网站 http://www.scholarships.gc.ca/alumni-en.html,或者法语网站http://www.scholarships.gc.ca/alumni-fr.html，填写登记表。由加拿大外交国贸部，加拿大国际教育司和中国驻渥太华使馆联合发起，我们正在建立CCSEP学者学友网。
自从1973年SSCEP项目建立以来，已经有大约450位中国学者获得该奖项的资助。该项目大大提高了加拿大在中国各地的知名度并促进了中加学者和东道主院校之间的合作关系。
通过与你们大家的接触，CCSEP学者网将会更好地使你们和不断变化、更新的加拿大联系起来。作为CCSEP学友，你们将经常性地收到学术项目和活动的消息。你们也有可能被邀请参加加拿大驻华使馆或各地领馆组织的相关外交活动。我们相信你们在线登记会给你们提供更多的与加拿大和加拿大研究学者进行合作机会和可能性。请放心，本资料库的细节不会让商业机构共享。
我们期待通过学术关系与你们共同建立一个更好，更强的中加友好关系。

Dear CCSEP scholars:
As the recipients of Canada-China Scholars' Exchange Program (CCSEP), you are invited to visit the http://www.scholarships.gc.ca/alumni-en.html, or in French at http://www.scholarships.gc.ca/alumni-fr.html to fill out the CCSEP alumni registration form. In cooperation with Foreign Affairs Canada, the Canadian Bureau for International Education, and the Chinese Embassy in Ottawa, we are working to build a CCSEP alumni network.
Initiated in 1973, Canada-China Scholars' Exchange Program (CCSEP) is an official exchange program between the two countries designed to enhance knowledge and understanding. Since 1973, approximately 450 CCSEP Chinese participants have received this award. This scholarship program greatly helps to increase Canada's visibility across China and to further promote the collaborative partnerships between Chinese and Canadian scholars (and their host organizations).
By staying contact with you all, the CCSEP alumni network is to better link you with an innovative Canada. As a member of CCSEP alumni, you will receive regular information on academic programs and activities. As well, you will be invited to attend related public diplomacy events organised by the Canadian Embassy and Canadian Consulates General in China. We believe that your online registration will provide you with more potential partnership opportunities with Canada and Canadians. Please be assured that the details of this database will not be shared with any commercial entities.
We look forward to working with you to build a better and stronger Canada Sino friendship through academic relations.
