在过去的一年，我们加研会秘书处通过此电子通讯网和大家保持了密切的联系，年底前，又开通了新的网站，使我们的信息更加丰富，畅通和快捷。在新的一年里，我们第十四期通讯很可能是旧历新年前的最后一次发布， 因此，秘书处借此机会向所有中心和会员，向加拿大使馆的朋友致以新春的问候，祝我们所有人新年快乐！
In the past year, our sectariat of the association maintained close contact with every one through the electronic network. Towards the end of the last year, we opened our new website, which has greatly enriched our information and facilitated our communication. Now, standing on the threashould of the new year, and anticipating that this issue may be the only opportunity before the Chinese New Year, we would like to take this occasion to extend our warmest greetings to all the centers, all members, and all the friends working in the Canadian Embassy for a Happy New Year!
=>1. Second Call for Excellent Graduate Thesis Award Application (积极申报优秀研究生论文奖)
我们上一期通讯发布了优秀研究生论文奖评审通知，但是迄今为止，秘书处只收到不到10篇论文，申报不是很踊跃，我们这里再次号召每个中心和个人积极申报，截止日期延长到3月中旬，具体条件请大家浏览我们的网络www.canadastudies.com.cn。
Up to now, we have received just 10 applications for the Excellent Graduate Thesis Award, less than we have expected. Now we have decided to put off the application deadline to the 15th of March. For specific information, please browse our new website: www.canadastudies.com.cn
=>2．Nankai Contribution to the journal "History Teaching" (《历史教学》杂志征稿通知）:
我们上次通知有关南开大学《历史教学》杂志将出版加拿大研究专刊的征稿的条件。请符合条件的研究生论文积极准备，按照我们上次发送的要求修改，提交《历史教学》专刊发表。这是一个很少见的佳机。注意：英文文章这次不能发表，请把英文文章改成汉语再提交。
The Journal "History Teaching" of Nankai University will publish a special issue on Canadian Studies. Those who wish to publish papers please revise your papers carefully before submission. This is a rare opportunity. Please note that English papers are not carried by the journal this time, please change your English papers into Chinese to submit.
=>3. Manual on Canadian Studies in China （中国加拿大研究手册）
秘书处准备印刷中国加拿大研究手册，请还没有提交中心简介的加拿大研究中心尽快提交，已经提交的我门都已经挂在网上了。
The Sectariat is ready to print the "Manual on Canadian Studies in China." We hope those centers which have not handed in their "Profile of Center" as soon as possible. The profiles of those centers which have been submitted are now available on the website.
=>4.Call for Suggestions for our Website (网站改进建议)
网站开通，请大家上网浏览，提出宝贵意见，以便于我们改正和更好地运行（www.canadas tudies.com.cn）
Our website has been launched now. It is hoped that all of us would browse it and make constructive suggestions for its improvement.
