1. 1982年9月，考入南充师范学院外语系英语语言文学专业。
2. 1986年7月，毕业分配至渝州教育学院任教。
3. 1988年7月，调入绵阳高等师范专科学校任教。
4. 1994年7月—1995年7月，在北京外国语大学作访问学者。
5. 1997年1—2月，应美国驻华大使邀请，对美国二十余所大学进行学术访问。
6. 1997年5—7月，应加拿大驻华大使邀请，对加拿大十余所大学进行学术访问。
2000年9月，调入西南科技大学。

3.July, 1994-July, 1995, visiting scholar in the Beijing university vof foreign studies
4..January- February in 1997 , carried on academic visit to the 20 universities in US.
5. May-July in 1997, carried on academic visit to ten universities in Canada.
6.September, 2000,transferred to Southwest University of Science & Technology
对加拿大研究的建议或意见 采取得力措施，争取多方经济资助，与出版单位保持良好关系，帮助研究人员在国内外有关刊物上发表文章，以调动他们的科研积极性。
吸引更多的年轻人加入到研究工作中来，创造条件让他们得到到国内外进修，参加培训，参加专题讲座，参加学术交流的机会，帮助他们确定专业研究方向
To take efficient measures to strive for the financial supports, maintain the good relationship with the publishers, help the researchers to publish the articles in the domestic and foreign related publications to arouse their scientific research enthusiasm.
To attract more young people to join the research work , create the conditions to let them obtain the opportunities to take domestic and foreign advanced courses, participate training, participate the seminars and the academic exchange, help them to determine the specialized research direction.
