 内蒙古大学加拿大研究中心主任魏莉副教授于2010年5月28日至6月4日在加拿大康戈迪亚大学参加了“2010年度加拿大人文社会科学学术大会”，并在“全加拿大大学和学院英语教师总会”的年会上全文宣读了英文论文“以虚构和事实重新定义家庭与友谊：加拿大华裔作家崔维新的创作方法与选择。”加拿大人文社会科学学术大会是加拿大学术界一年一度的学术盛会，汇集各大学和学院人文社会科学领域里的学者进行学术交流。魏莉老师提交的论文通过严格盲审之后，受到本届大会主席多伦多大学Heather Murray教授的特别邀请在会议 上宣读论文。会议期间，魏莉老师又与康戈迪亚大学、渥太华大学、卡尔顿大学、多伦多大学等学者交谈和交

 From May 28 to June 4, 2010, Prof. Wei Li, Director of Canadian Studies Center at Inner Mongolia University attended Canada’s 2010 Humanities and Social Sciences Congress at Concordia University, and read a paper in English “Redefining Family and Friends by Fiction and Facts: Wayson Choy’s Ways and Choices” at the Association of Canadian College and University and Teachers of English (ACCUTE) Conference. In the Canadian academia, the Humanities and Social Sciences Congress is an annual, grand gathering of all scholars in the humanities and social sciences from Canadian universities and colleges for academic exchange. After her submitted paper went through a strict blind Prof. Wei Li was reading her paper vetting process, Professor Wei was invited as “an eminent scholar” by ACCUTE President Heather Murray, Professor of English at the University of Toronto to present it. In the wake of the conference, Professor Wei conducted conversations and academic exchanges with scholars from Concordia University, the University of Ottawa, and the University of Toronto, etc. She has obtained novel ideas, established fresh academic ties, and laid a new foundation for the future development of the Canadian Studies Center at Inner Mongolia University.
