作为庆祝中加建交40周年庆祝活动的一部分，云南师范大学加拿大研究中心得到加拿大外交与国际贸易部的部分资助，并由云南师范大学校方提供配套经费，将于2010年7月27日-7月28日在云南昆明召开为期两天的国际学术会议。此次会议的主题为“中国-加拿大民族与文化多元性比较研究”。届时将邀请国内各高校加拿大研究中心专家，加拿大约克大学、威尔弗里德·劳里埃大学和西安大略大学的专家做主题发言。本次会议的主题为:1.民族文化；2.民族教育政策；3.语言教育。现具体通知如下：
一、为保证质量，研讨会将控制在50人左右的规模。有意参会者请将中文或英文论文摘要（约250字）连同个人通讯信息于2010年7月10日前通过电子邮件发送到云南师范大学加拿大研究中心邮箱ynnucsc@gmail.com并抄送changyin_li@yahoo.com.cn。论文摘要经专家评审合格后，会务组发给正式邀请函。优秀论文组委会将推荐到CSSCI核心期刊《云南师范大学学报—哲学社会科学版》发表。
二、我们热情邀请全国各高校加拿大研究中心的学者和对会议主题感兴趣的学者参会。

Call for Papers: International Conference
on Canada-China Ethno-Cultural Diversity Comparative Studies

As part of the celebrations marking the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between...Canada and China, and funded by Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Canada and Yunnan Normal University, an International Conference on Canada-China Ethno-Cultural Diversity Comparative Studies will be held in Kunming July 27-28. The host is the Canadian Studies Centre of Yunnan Normal University is going to invite Canadianists from Canadian Studies Centers in China to attend this conference. In addition to Chinese keynote speakers, professors from York University, Wilfrid Laurier University and the University of Western Ontario will address the conference as well. The conference will focus on the three following themes:
1. Ethnic Culture
2. Ethnic Education Policy
3. Language Education
Submission of Abstracts
The number of Chinese and Canadian participants in this conference will be around 50. Interested scholars are requested to submit an abstract of about 250 words (either in English or Chinese) and contact information to the Canadian Studies Center of Yunnan Normal University by email at ynnucsc@gmail.com with a copy to changyin_li@yahoo.com.cn by the deadline on July 10th, 2010. The Organizing Committee will send official invitations to those whose abstracts are accepted. Excellent papers will be recommended and considered for publication in the Philosophical and Social Sciences Edition of Yunnan Normal University Journal, a Chinese Social Science Citation Index (CSSCI) listed key academic journal in China.
Yunnan Normal University invites Canadianists from all Canadian Studies Centers to attend this conference. Non-Canadianists who are interested in the themes of this conference are also welcomed.
