4Some important points on program application from DFAIT:

1. The programs applied should focus on the subjects emphasized by Canadian Government or have some connections with those important subjects.

2. Application forms should be filled out by referring to the new requirement precisely with particular attention given to the budget.

3. When a project is accomplished, a final report, together with a fiscal report, should be sent to the Canadian Embassy in Beijing. Otherwise new applications would be rejected.

4. Be aware of the deadlines for different programs:

Assistance Program for Canadian Studies Associations is designed to provide Canadian studies associations annually with seed money for administration and publication expenses (including website), not for academic activities.

Canada Conference Grant Program supports the organization of conferences and the applicant could be the ACSC or any center. It could be applied twice a year with two deadlines, June 1st and December 1st.

The applications for Student Mobility Support Program need to be submitted to the local Canadian mission by February 1st.
